Prosecutions
When digital security such as CCTV and alarms are deployed, or manned security such as guards and patrols, the objective should be to deter against crime and anti-social behaviour. The ultimate prerogative should be to prosecute those who commit crime.
In order to successfully prosecute, many things have to be considered and implemented:
- Is the installer GDPR/ICO compliant?
- Are staff SIA accredited CCTV operators?
- Are the SIA security guards competent and professional enough to deal with intruders and   the police?
- Are the cameras of sufficient quality to produce video footage that could accurately identify   the culprits and their vehicles?
- Is the monitoring provider NSI Gold accredited?
- Has the footage been prepared and submitted correctly in line with requirements for the   handling and processing of evidence?
All of these are important factors in ensuring the integrity and success of prosecutions.
Ad Hoc has been integral in numerous prosecutions for crimes such as burglary, theft and fly tipping. We continue to develop our systems and processes to support local authorities and law enforcement in identifying and prosecuting those who commit crime on sites that we manage.
